Leapmoor assisted the Port of Cromarty Firth in securing the contract from Moray East Offshore Windfarm to use the Port to assemble their turbines. We also supported the Port in securing funding for the project. The renewable energy sector presents several opportunities for much needed employment in the area and so it is great to be part of this project. The £30M Phase 4 development involves a 218m deep water quay and 11 acres of land reclamation works to facilitate the Moray East project as well as support growth in the offshore renewables and cruise sectors.
Leapmoor took a lead role in the design and consenting as well as pre-qualification, preparation and evaluation of tender documents and appointment of Roadbridge as principal contractor. Gary McCann is currently the employers project manager ensuring funders and the board are informed of progress, risks and opportunities as well as providing general oversight of the NEC3 contract to ensure that the works are completed to the specification.
